Add Forums

Once you have created your categories you need to add forums before anyone can post on your forum. To create a new forum click on the [Forums] option in the left hand menu. Note: you need to be logged in as administrator.

1. To add a new forum to a category
   
   Select the desired category in the dropdown list and click the Add button.
   
   
   Your new forum will be created with the default name 'New Forum' and you will be directed to the forum editing page. At this point you can enter the desired forum name and a description about the forum. The description provides guidance to posters about what sort of discussions should be posted in this particular forum. Once you have set the Forum Name and Description you can click on the Save changes button
   
   
   Note: there are more advanced options for editing on this form. Those options are beyond the scope of this guide.
   
   
2. To delete a forum from a category
   
   To remove or delete a forum click on the [Delete] link alongside the forum you wish to delete.
   
   Important: Deleting a forum will delete all the posts in that forum
   
   
3. Changing forum display position
   
   The order in which the forums are displayed with in the category can be controlled by changing the position value alongside each forum name. Once you have set the desired positions click on the Update positions button.

At this point you members can sign up and save posts into your forums. You are also able to change the style of your forum to one of the forum themes provided.
